Benefits of Groups

We focus on groups that provide the greatest benefit in unique ways. Our groups range from yoga and grief recovery to book clubs. Some groups are offered online, in-person, or both. Those who engage in groups can benefit in multiple ways. The following are only 10 ways you may benefit from engaging in a group experience.

  1. Helps you realize you’re not alone.

  2. You give and receive support.

  3. You can find and use your “voice.”

  4. Begin to relate to others (and yourself) in healthier ways.

  5. Participation provides a safety net.

  6. You experience increased confidence.

  7. Involvement develops camaraderie.

  8. Taking part fosters self-discovery.

  9. Your presence exposes you and others to different perspectives.

  10. Attendance provides accountability.

Groups provide an effective and efficient avenue to engage with others and address challenges in life. Our groups are provided with therapeutic underpinnings, while not all of them are direct therapy. Yoga and our book club are therapeutic but not a replacement for therapy. Our groups are facilitated by a provider who is trained, is intentionally small, and seeks to support participants in living the life they desire through participation. We understand that you may be reluctant to participate because of feeling of reluctant or vulnerability, as it may be a new experience. We strive to foster an environment that allows space for those feelings while taking steps to reap the rewarding benefits of a group.
